Bimbisara is a Telugu fantasy action movie written by debutant Mallidi Vasishta. It has a good script and visuals. The film has been a massive hit.

‘Bimbisara’ has a solid background score and a great backdrop. The storyline is also compelling. However, it loses its steam in the second half.
The king of the Trigartala Empire, Bimbisara, is an ancient ruler who lands in the modern world through time travel. He has a ruthless mindset. He plans to take over the Asmaka kingdom. During his journey, he meets a girl, who is the look-alike of the girl Bimbisara killed in the past.
When he finds out about Bagheera’s treason, he kills him. In turn, the girl’s father and grandfather are held hostage. Shastri then demands that Bimbisara take the girl’s son, Dhanvantari, back to her.
Interestingly, the script of Bimbisara has several twists and turns. At the same time, the film is also a classic tale of penance.
Besides the film’s good storyline, it has a few good songs. This film is an example of how far Tollywood has come when it comes to telling grand fantasy stories.
Despite a poor performance from Kalyan Ram, the film was a blockbuster. It broke even within three days of its release. And the distributors are happy.
